Joost Klein, born on November 10, 1997, is a Dutch musician, singer, rapper, and former YouTuber who is popularly known for his choice of songs which are mainly influences of electronic music like hardstyle, gabber, drum and bass.

Joost Klein Early Life, Background and Education

Joost Klein, popularly known as Joost, was born on November 10, 1997, in Leeuwarden, Friesland but was raised in the nearby village of Britsum. He lost his father to cancer at the age of 10 and a year later, his mother died after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Klein acquired secondary education at the Stedelijk Gymnasium in Leeuwarden, but was however not able to complete his education there. 

Joost Klein Career

Before making a name for himself in the music industry, Joost Klein was a YouTuber. He started his YouTube channel in 2008 under the name EenhoornJoost and was known for publishing entertaining videos that range from sketches to mini-documentaries. 

In 2016, Joost decided to venture into music after first releasing an Extended Play (EP) titled ‘Dakloos.’ His debut music video for his song titled ‘Bitches’ reached a million views on YouTube. 

Since making his way into the music scene, Joost Klein has since dropped various hit songs as well as classic albums. Some of his popular songs include ‘Meeuw,’ ‘Ome Robert,’ ‘Ik Wil Ja,’ and ‘Friesenjung.’ Some of his popular albums include ‘M van Marketing,’ ‘Albino,’ ‘1983,’ and ‘Fryslân.’
