Pooja Khedkar IAS, born on April 10, 1993 is a trainee Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer who has served amid controversies over the years in the Indian civil service. She finished in 841st position in the UPSC exam in 2022 and was subsequently posted as a Probationary Assistant Collector at the Pune Collectorate where she was the center of various controversies.
In July 2024, Pooja Khedkar IAS was transferred from Pune as a Probationary Assistant Collector to Washim as a Supernumerary Assistant Collector, a move which has got many people talking considering the fact that she was allegedly misusing power during her time at the Pune Collectorate.

Her father, Diliprao Khedkar is a retired Maharashtra government officer while her mother is an elected sarpanch of Bhalgaon in Pathardi taluka of Ahmednagar district.

After partaking in the UPSC exam 2022 in which Pooja finished in 841st position, an order was issued on March 18 that year for her to join the Pune Collectorate as a Probationary Assistant Collector. It was alleged that she was not qualified to partake in the exams because she did not fit the OBC non-creamy layer and PwD category where the certificate limit is an annual parental income of Rs 8 lakh.
On March 21, 2023 Pooja Khedkar IAS was officially posted at the Pune District Collectorate office and was supposed to end her tenure in July 2025. Her stay there was actually short-lived following her alleged abuse of power.
Some of the atrocities Pooja committed include:
- Removing the nameplate of a senior official at the Pune collector's office when he allowed her to use his ante-chamber as her office
- Using her private Audi car with a red-blue beacon light and VIP number plate
- Requesting facilities that are not available to probationary officers in the IAS
- Submitting fake mental illness, fake disability and Other Backward Class (OBC) certificates to clear the civil services exam
