Betta Edu, born on October 27, 1986, is a Nigerian medical doctor and politician who is known for her contributions in the Nigerian health care system as well as the nation's political scene. 

She is a former National Chairman of the Nigeria Health Commissioners Forum, a former Commissioner for Health in Cross River State, a former National Women Leader of the All Progressive Congress, and a former Minster of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

On January 8, 2024, Betta Edu was suspended from her office as Minster of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for allegedly diverting over 585 million naira of public funds into a personal bank account.
