Mercy Mawia, born on June 5, 1988 was a Kenyan media personality who made a name for herself in the Kenyan media landscape. She had previously worked as a radio host at Athiani FM and as a radio presenter at Mbaitu FM.

On July 23, 2024 Mercy Mawia died at South B Hospital in Nairobi where she was undergoing treatment after a brief illness.

• She acquired her Master's degree in ICT Policy and Regulations from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in Kenya and was studying for her PhD in Computing and Information Technology at the university before her death. 
• She was also a Deputy Principal at Mahanaim Educational Institute
• As a media personality, she started her career as a radio presenter at Athiani FM where she hosted shows like “Ikinya ya Athukumi” and “Kitindo” 
• She was also working as a radio presenter at Mbaitu FM before her death
• She was also a talented singer. Some of her popular songs include “Mivango ya Ngai,” “Osa Muvea,” “Yesu Nutonya,” and “Ndukatane”
• She was married to James Mwangi. The couple tied the knot in 2018
• On July 23, 2024 she passed away at South B Hospital in Nairobi after a brief illness. She was reportedly admitted to the hospital for a surgery procedure but died from the complications of the surgery.
