Yuqi, born on September 23, 1999, is a Chinese singer, songwriter, dancer and record producer. She is a member of (G)I-dle, a South Korean girl group which made its debut under Cube Entertainment in May 2018.

Song Yuqi, popularly known as “Yuqi,” was born on September 23, 1999, in Beijing, China. For now, nothing is known about her early life and background.
Yuqi is currently 24 years old. She will however turn 25 by September 2024. She also attended Beijing 101 Middle School where she acquired formal education. She also picked interest in K-pop while in middle school.
Yuqi Career
Before joining (G)I-dle in 2018, Yuqi attended the Cube Star World Audition Beijing Station in 2015 and performed G.E.M.'s “Bubble,” and CLC's High Heels. It was after she passed this audition that she became a trainee of Cube Entertainment.
In May 2018, Song Yugi made her debut with (G)I-dle when they released the single “Latata” off their debut album titled “I Am.” In 2019, she was cast as a member for the seventh season of “Keep Running,” a popular Chinese TV show. Other shows she was cast in that year include “The Gashinas” in April and “Law of the Jungle in Myanmar” in June.
Yuqi made her debut as a song writer and composer in 2020 with the song “I'm the Trend” which was dedicated to the fan base of (G)I-dle. In May 2021, she debuted as a solo artist with the album “A Page.” The album had hit singles like “Bonnie & Clyde” and “Giant.” Other than going solo in 2021, Yuqi participated in a variety of Chinese shows. Some of them include Shine! Super Brothers, Let's Fall In Love, and Keep Running.
In April 2024, Yuqi released her first EP titled “Yuq1.”
