Malik Edwards, popularly known as Likybo, was born on December 9, 1997, in Oakland, California, United States. Although not much is known about his background, it is at least known that he grew up with his parents and siblings in Oakland. It is also known that he used to play basketball before starting a career in music.

Career

Prior to starting a career in music, Likybo used to play basketball and gained recognition for it before deciding to switch career path to music. Some of the artists that influenced his music career include Meek Mill and G Herbo. 

In 2016, Likybo made his debut as a music artist and released songs like “Trap” featuring Lil Pete, “In The Air,” and “Type of N!gga.” Despite releasing a lot of songs after his first few, Likybo didn't gain recognition until late 2019 when his single “Kraazy,” which was released in 2017, started trending on TikTok. The song also appeared on Billboard’s Top 25 Trending Songs & Music Hits and on Spotify US Viral 50 chart.

Other songs Likybo had released over the course of his music career include “When I See You,” “Closer To My Dreams,” “Money Truck,” “Mind Over Matter,” “Chances Make Champions,” to mention a few.
