Oyindamola Johnson Emmanuel, popularly known as Dammy Krane, was born on December 10, 1992, in Lagos Nigeria. Although not much is known about his background, it is at least known that his father once worked in the Fuji music industry as a manager.

Dammy Krane attended Providence Heights secondary school where he acquired secondary education.

Dammy Krane’s journey towards being a music artist started at the age of six when he joined the children's choir in his church and ministered in various church programs. Other than being a singer, he was also known to be a good dancer and performer.

After graduating from school, with the influence of his father as a manager in the Fuji music industry, Dammy decided to pursue music as a career. Inspired by artists like Fela Kuti, 2face Idibia, King Sunny Ade, Femi Kuti, Sauce Kid, and D'Banj and Sauce Kid, he started recording songs and performing at various shows.

Dammy Krane eventually got signed to Hypertek Records Label and 960 Music Group after he was discovered by 2face Idibia who saw him perform at a birthday party.

Dammy Krane Controversy

In June 2017, Dammy Krane was arrested in the United States for identity fraud, credit card fraud, and grand theft. It was alleged that while he was on holiday in Miami, he booked a private jet from the company TapJets using a stolen credit card. In August that year, the charges against him were struck out by American courts.

In September 2022, Dammy Krane confronted popular afrobeat superstar Davido on X formerly known as Twitter. He claimed that Davido owes him a huge sum of money and urged him to make good on his debt.
